Camping Trip

Last week we took off to spend time with Matt's dad before he goes overseas. The first few days, they rented a "cabin" at Mahoney park. The cabin was really like a huge house. It was great to relax. We went horseback riding, fishing, drove thru the wildlife safari and climbed the observation tower, and the guys golfed.

The next few days, we pulled the campers to Branched Oak. We had quite a crew that came for Matt's cooking :) It was a really fun time.

Cooper is really starting to want to be more like dad. He was really into helping him fish.

The guys went golfing another day, so Deb and I took Cooper to the beach at the lake and had a picnic. We were the only people there and he liked playing in the sand more than he liked being in the water :)

We all had a great week, and are sad that Mike is leaving. We made some great memories, and I think that Cooper got a lot closer to Grandpa.

Our BIG 2 year old

Cooper turned 2 on the 3rd. We went out with Matt's family for dinner and to Coldstone for some Birthday Cake ice cream. I can't beleive he is so big!!

Hailey and Cooper colored with grandma at the restraunt.

I really enjoyed my ice cream!

Us vs. the Garage

We started working on our new garage this weekend. What a great way to spend the holiday weekend :) Thank god for Matt's parents, we would have been lost without them. We all got a nice sunburn!!

Day 1:
Was a little disappointing. All we got done was make trips back and forth to Menards loading and unloading all the lumber.

Day 2:
Went much better. We got all the walls framed out, and just in time to miss a massive storm. We must have built some strong walls because the storm had 60mph winds, blew trees onto neighbors houses, but our new framed walls stood still!!

Day 3:
I had to work, but by the time I got home at 5, the walls were done!! Matt, his dad, and a few friends worked all day and got this done. We are now just waiting for another delivery of materials, and we can put on the roof!!
